Time to refocus? John 11:21-28

Martha then said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” Jesus *said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha *said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” She *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”

When she had said this, she went away and called Mary her sister, saying secretly, “The Teacher is here and is calling for you.” John 11:21-28

Every now and then, our faith falters. We’re human. In spite of the fact that we aren’t perfect- God loves and understands us. That’s why He came!

Sometimes, we need a direct one-on-one meeting with God to regain our focus – to hear His voice again and His words of comfort, hope, and encouragement. After their little talk, notice how Martha went to Mary and said quietly –“Come with me, the Lord is going to do something really big!” I think here confidence and trust in Him had been fully restored.

Are you struggling with your faith? Open God’s word and let Him speak to you. Ask for His Spirit to touch you. Let Him know your deepest hurts and questions. Admit your failures. Wait and trust that He will help.

He can do anything.
