You aren’t worthless, You’re valued - John 10:17,18

"The reason My Father loves Me is that I give up My life. But I will take it back again. No one takes it from Me. I give it up Myself. I have the authority to give it up. And I have the authority to take it back again. I received this command from My Father." John 10:17,18

It is simply inconceivable to fathom the extent of God's love for us. The very thought that there is Someone who has everything and is all-powerful, and that they would relinquish control to help the weakest of the weak – the most undeserving – is entirely alien to the mindset of our society. We are a people for ourselves, controlled by "what's in it for me" ism.

Yet, the pride which lays at the root of our condition as helpless, lost, and doomed beings is contrasted by the humility of Christ. That Christ would step down from glory and subject Himself to humiliation, scorn, and death – taking on our debt – to redeem us is totally crazy to modern man.

And the power that He possessed – the same power that raised Him from the grave – the love He showed us then… He still possesses, He still offers to us. He is still powerful enough to meet our needs, to heal us spiritually and physically, to lead us safely through any storm.

Our loving Shepherd and Savior knows the way. He's been there before. He has the resources to lead, guide, and sustain us.

Who can question His power?

Who can question His love?

And if He did all that for you… you must be very, very special and dear to Him.
